Prior to receiving treatment from Dr. Goebel at the Sturgis Chiropractic Clinic, I spent thousands of dollars trying to find relief from the headaches that I had experienced for over thirty years. After seven months of therapy from Dr. Goebel, these headaches have decreased so dramatically that I am almost headache free. Before receiving chiropractic care I was unable to walk one block without hip and low back pain. Now I am able to walk 2 miles without pain since manual manipulation and back exercises. In 1987, I had Spinal/Laminectomy surgery, following 6 years of near constant pain and weakness in my legs. Following surgery, I have periodically had pains in my lower back, hip and legs. Have doctored over these past 30 years, however, had not had continued support and/or anyone who would work towards minimizing the problems. Of course, in these past years, arthritis has attacked these joints/bones and definitely affects the stiffness and pain.

In April 2009, I was told my hip (where the bone for the fusion was taken) was out of place. I spent 3 months going to physical therapy to get my hip back in place and pain free. After thousands of dollars on physical therapy, I was sent on my merry way.

In late October of 2009, I again was in severe pain with what I believe was my hip out of place. I determined to stay closer to home and visit with a chiropractor. Many of my friends recommended Sturgis Chiropractic Clinic -- I had never been to a chiropractor before. I began going to Dr. Jerrid Goebel on October 22nd, and have received compassionate care, plus he has researched why my body has gone out of kilter. He has provided physical therapy, plus manipulation of the joints, determined that one leg is shorter than the other and found an imbalance in my foot placement, causing an uneven weight distribution. He continues to provide needed care and is more concerned with a pain free patient than with the collection of fees for services rendered.

I realize that I will continue to experience pain and stiffness due to arthritis, but Dr. Goebel is willing to work with me to maintain my body placement with minimal doctor visits. Isn’t that what we all want?

With my fibromyalgia, I would have flare ups where my joints would hurt, I haven’t had a flare up for a long time since beginning chiropractic treatments. I’ve had probems with mid back pain, neck pain and lower back issues. Since seeing Dr. Johnson, my neck and lower back are feeling a lot better, the “Hump” I had in my mid to upper back has all but disappeared. I would recommend a visit with Dr. Johnson, and I have, to anyone who is having back or fibromyalgia problems.
